It isn't required for now. It may well be after patch day. This is primarily meant to fix some of the worse bugs in Alpha 7.

You really don't want to run Alpha 7 over this one.

Logan Conrad: Any .NET plugin that does spell casting or combat will need to be updated for this version of Decal. This includes Buffme and Alinco. The update is very easy to do, so I'd expect that the plugin devs will be able to release an updated version soon.



For people running GoArrow, you should be able to re-enable the "Automatically update recall coordinates" option. I'm going to release a new version soon that has lots of updates and new features.

The CombatState enum is the only known breaking change for Adapter plugins. You'll have to wait for an update form the authors of plugins that use CombatState.

Alpha 8 in no way breaks ELTank. Hitting update however...

FYI, I had a bit of trouble installing this on Windows XP x64. I had to disable compatibility for Windows XP -- never had to do that for previous Decal releases.

just a question why are we still useing net framework 2.0 when there is a service pack to it and for that matter netframe work 3.0 is out



i used 2.0 because it is what is listed in the decal home page to use and i will admit i not one to take chances i not great on computers so if i mess some thing up it costs me a ton to get a teck in here to fix it

i get the same message as logan....and i cannot do anything to get rid of it except restart the whole cpu, which doesnt help me get ig, just rids the message and the game it was blocking, the game shows, but i cant do anything

Bombay: If you look at my Decal export you'll notice that I don't run Alinco. You'd also notice that I identified the problem with the plugin Buffme. wink

I do see that the update did not fix the crashing between charecters. At least not with the plugins I run (lifetank, hwacstats, quest timer). I'll try again after my reformat this weekend, and if it's still giving me errors, then I'll do the export thing and everything.

Yaroz, the switching chars thing is plugin specific. (Of those 3, LT is causing your problems)
