Subject: Decal crashing - export inside
This is a clean install (afaik Decal has never been installed on this computer in the past)
I thought it may have been a plugin I installed, so I disabled all except DHS.. and still get a crash.
I crash when I click anywhere on the Decal bar.

Does this happen after working for awhile? With only 64mb of memory I'd recommend minimum texture detail...

Oh, I was tinkering with that last night.. I can set that lower. But it happens every time I load AC, sometimes after a couple seconds, and 100% of the time when I click on the decal bar. I just did a clean install as per some of the other threads have suggested.. no avail.

I'll set the detail lower, but I highly doubt I am out of video memory.. that would just slow things down, not kill everything off with an error. I'll post again if I have any updates.

Thanks for your help, btw.

I'll be damned.. I think that actually did fix it. I was able to at least run. Reinstalling my plugins now to see if they will work.

Thanks again.

64 mb of video memory is pretty low, and it definately could be your problem =)

Yeh.. laptop video card. What can I say?
I cranked up the settings to see how much of a graphic improvement they made since I last played (Impressive, compared to what I was used to). I meant to drop them back down again but forgot.

Still.. boggles me as to why it was crashing.. I ran WoW at full settings (at 2 frames per minute) without a crash. Must be the way they are hooking into D3D.

At any rate, thanks again!

Decal uses a lot of texture memory, especially for large/complicated plugin views, and it doesn't handle running out of memory very well.

That's okay though, we have minimum settings happy
