This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least 20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per page).

Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50 topics per page, while others deemed of historical signifigance may be archived in their entirety.

We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in lieu of that.

	Ok, I know I shouldn't be making a new topic for this, since it's been beat to death in a few areas, but I had to for 2 reasons: 1) to get my views heard (yes, I know it's selfish but I want ti said) 2) To give thanks to El for all he gave us AFTER the first "opinion wars" Ok, I was around when the whole tabloid issue came about when El released Tank to the general public, remeber El being banned from these boards for a while, and lets face it, back then it was a flat out UCM machine, well before the specific anti-UCM statement was put in the EULA... It was designed for just that, to kill [MOD-Edit] in the most efficient manner possible ... Now, I'm not saying I agree with that. I don't agree with UCM, BUT his plugin, through the intervening years has added SOOO much more, yet some still see it as simply a UCM tool. I'm not a UCMer and never have been, but, his plugin let me do the one thing that I loved, get rid of 5 different things and replace it with 1 easy to use plug-in that combined all the others... Do I agree with him dropping the Auth server even though he said he'd keep the plug-in alive, no I don't, but it's his choise, it's HIS hours of work, and I'm not talking an hour here or there, but thousands through the years to keep it running everytime AC changed. It's easy to bitch and moan, especially if you've never written a plug-in. If you have, great, but write one that does EVERYTHING tank did and THEN you have the right. El Tank, El Track, El Nav, and El Tank buff bot had THE simplest user interface of any decal plugin, yet the most functional and versitile of ANY plugin to date, AND DID IT ALL IN ONE PLUG-IN. A few years ago, (well more than a few lol) I wrote an auto-nav plugin, it took me quite a while to write, and had a simple premise ... You input the destination, then it would track coords to make sure you were going the right way, if coords didn't change it would assume stuck on the landscape and then try and re-route... took me 4 months just for that... Here El is, offering a plugin that takes the place of 7 different plug-ins(UST, NB, Castaway, Sixth Sense, a tinker bot, a navigational tool, plus a combat macro,) in one easy to use interface, yet all the narrow minded individuals can see is the UCM venue... give it a rest, this plug-in, since those initial days has gone SOOO far beyond the UCM stage it isn't funny... Hell, LTx is a nice plugin and all, but it's still a die-hard UCM tool, sorry, it has no where NEAR the funtionality that tank did, and the only way to use ANY feature in LTx is TO BE COMBAT MACROING!!!!! unless you are macroing it WILL NOT track XP/HR, loot items, kills, etc. and the interface is far from user friendly to boot... No matter how you look at it, or what you read in to it, the bottom line is this ... It's ElGarl's plug-in, it's his thousand of hours of work, I know if it was me I wouldn't release the source, that would be like Bill Gates making Windows Open Source, if he wants it to end IT'S HIS CHOICE and nobody elses... Drakier, and a few others, I hold you all in the highest of regards through my years of AC, you seem to grasp this concept and support the idea even though you don't support El, hell I've followed the war of the words even when I wasn't subbed to AC, but the point is this, even though you've all had your differances, you can still see the overall impact. Least I hope you can. Despite the original UCM aspect of ElTank, it's overall impact has been predominently for the good of AC. Ok, I'm gonna let this go, and chances are I won't even respond to anything posted as I think I've made my peace, so if someone deems need to flame me, be my guest, you can bring up the donations given or any other fool notion that you may feel gives you the right to post, but all I can say is, until you write a plug-in that does all that El's did for this community STFU!!!! Oh, and Elgarl, EVE SUCKS ... lol .. been plaing it for the past 2 years and just dropped my sub ... -----signature-----
